About Course

本直播课程针对的是小学三年级学生，选用的是人民教育出版社《新起点小学·三年级（上）》教材，涵盖了发音、词汇、听力、表达等各方面的强化练习，通过28个课时的精细化学习安排，帮助学生进一步熟悉常见词汇，逐步做到见词能读，并就熟悉话题学会用简单句型表达自己的想法。

This course is geared towards third graders, using China's Primary English G3-3A textbook published by People's Education Press Ltd., which comprises of pronunciations, vocabularies, listening exercises, speaking exercises, etc., reinforcing English learning through 28 lecture hours with detailed lesson planning, from English basic phrases to American culture immersion lessons in order to encourage students' language learning awareness and interest, thus improving reading, writing, listening, and conversational skills.

Course Objective

学会103个英语单词的发音。
学会常用句式在不同情境下的美式发音表达，以及在不同情绪时的发音语气。
建立声音、图片与单词的对应连接，能根据所听到的英文或看到的图片识别有关个人信息、身体部位、食物、宠物、服装和生日并说出来。
能听懂并用英语对熟悉的话题做简单对话和表达看法，如：询问和介绍个人信息，问答身体部位，问答早、中、晚餐想吃什么食物，问答该穿什么衣服以及根据天气和场合提出的建议，问答生日在哪个月或哪一天。
能用英语表达简单的情感和感觉，如：对食物、衣服和宠物的偏爱；关心别人并表示愿意提供帮助；对他人表示生日祝福；表达自己哪里身体不适。
能根据教师的动作、表情和表演，猜出其所代表的含义，并说出相应的词语或句子。
能听懂简短的英语对话并作出正确的反应。
能在图片和动作的帮助下，听懂简单的英语小故事。

To learn the pronunciation of 103 vocabularies.
To learn American pronunciation and intonation for common phrases under different situations and different moods.
To listen and be able to identify and say personal information, body parts, food, pets, clothing and birthdays when looking at pictures.
To understand and be able to question and answer about personal information, body parts, meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), the type of clothing to wear based on weather and occasion, and birthdays (month and day).
To understand simple English dialogue and be able to respond accordingly.
To understand simple English stories with the help of pictures and hand gestures.
To express basic emotions and feelings in English, such as preferences in regards to food, clothing and pets; concern for others and willingness to help; birthday greetings; and sickness.
To be able to tell the meaning based on teacher's charade, and to say the word or phrase describing teacher's action.

1) You will need either a smartphone with Internet connection and with "QSkyABC" App installed or a computer with Internet connection to log onto "http://www.qskyabc.com/"
2) You will need parental supervision to watch the lectures and to interact with the teachers.
3) You will need to follow teacher's lecture schedule and consistently participate in lectures every week.
4) During lecture time, you will need to follow along with the teacher, speak, participate, and practice accordingly.

Hello! My name is Dita Amtey. I am a native California resident with an interest in travel, culture, wildlife, exercise, and education. My  teaching experience dates as far back as my  teenage years when I began volunteering my summers in a local Montessori preschool classroom. I worked and volunteered in an early childhood education institution and ESL middle school class room during my my time in college and continued my educational pursuits with the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Conservation Corp of MN and Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC where I worked with students of a variety of ages in the form of environmental education, team building, career mentoring, and more. I am very excited to continue my teaching journey with English Services USA and cant wait to become part of this impressive online teaching community.
