About Course

本直播课程针对的是小学四年级学生，选用的是人民教育出版社《新起点小学·四年级（上）》教材，涵盖了发音、词汇、听力、表达等各方面的强化练习，通过28个课时的精细化学习安排，帮助学生进一步提升词汇量，逐步培养阅读的能力，同时，就熟悉的话题能够准确流利地表达自己的想法。

This course is geared towards fourth graders, using China's Primary English G4-4A textbook published by People's Education Press Ltd., which comprises of pronunciations, vocabularies, listening exercises, speaking exercises, etc., reinforcing English learning through 28 lecture hours with detailed lesson planning, from English basic phrases to American culture immersion lessons in order to encourage students' language learning awareness and interest, thus improving reading, writing, listening, and conversational skills.

Course Objective

学会116个英语词汇的发音。
学会常用句式在不同情境下的美式发音表达，以及在不同情绪时的发音语气。
建立声音、图片与单词的对应连接，能根据所听到的英文或看到的图片识别有关体育和游戏、周末活动、交通方式、寻求帮助、安全守则和职业类别等，并准确说出来。
能听懂并用英语对熟悉的话题做简单对话和表达看法，如：
询问和介绍是否经常参与、是否擅长某项运动和游戏，问答周末活动安排，问答通过什么交通方式上学，找人借东西或向他人寻求帮助，提出安全建议或警示的语句，谈论自己的活或询问他人职业理想。
能用英语表达简单的情感和感觉，如：对食物、衣服和宠物的偏爱；关心别人并表示愿意提供帮助；对他人表示生日祝福；表达自己哪里身体不适。
能根据教师的动作、表情和表演，猜出其所代表的含义，并说出相应的词语或句子。
能听懂简短的英语对话并作出正确的反应。
能在图片和动作的帮助下，听懂简单的英语小故事。

To learn the pronunciation of 116 vocabularies.
To learn American pronunciation and intonation for common phrases under different situations and different moods.
To listen, and be able to identify and talk about sports and games, weekend activities, transportation, asking for help, safety rules and occupation category.
To understand and be able to question and answer about whether the student participates/is good at certain sports and games, about weekend activities, about which type of transportation the student uses to go to school, about borrowing or asking for others’ help, about providing safety suggestions or warnings, and about ideal jobs.
To understand simple English dialogue and be able to respond accordingly.
To understand simple English stories with the help of pictures and hand gestures.
To express basic emotions and feelings in English, such as preferences in regards to food, clothing and pets; concern for others and willingness to help; birthday greetings; and sickness.
To be able to tell the meaning based on teacher's charade, and to say the word or phrase describing teacher's action.

1) You will need either a smartphone with Internet connection and with "QSkyABC" App installed or a computer with Internet connection to log onto "http://www.qskyabc.com/"
2) You will need parental supervision to watch the lectures and to interact with the teachers.
3) You will need to follow teacher's lecture schedule and consistently participate in lectures every week.
4) During lecture time, you will need to follow along with the teacher, speak, participate, and practice accordingly.

Hello! My name is Dita Amtey. I am a native California resident with an interest in travel, culture, wildlife, exercise, and education. My  teaching experience dates as far back as my  teenage years when I began volunteering my summers in a local Montessori preschool classroom. I worked and volunteered in an early childhood education institution and ESL middle school class room during my my time in college and continued my educational pursuits with the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Conservation Corp of MN and Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC where I worked with students of a variety of ages in the form of environmental education, team building, career mentoring, and more. I am very excited to continue my teaching journey with English Services USA and cant wait to become part of this impressive online teaching community.
